Farnsleigh Road Project Needs Feedback

The Shaker Heights streetscape plans will be displayed on June 19. Residents are invited to view the plans and provide feedback.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The city is asking residents to share their opinions on plans for the Farnsleigh Road streetscape project. The plans currently include a 10 foot sidewalk to accommodate both pedestrians and bicycle riders.

The revamped Farnsleigh Road will also include new landscaping and street trees. The project will take place on Farnsleigh between Van Aken Boulevard and Warrensville.

The plans will be on display at the Pearl Asian Kitchen in Shaker Plaza on June 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Residents are invited to stop by the restaurant, view the plans, and provide feedback to city officials.

The city reconfigured some of the roads around the area, including near Van Aken Boulevard. The $14 million reconfiguration project concluded in April 2014 and paved the way for further development in that area of Shaker Heights.
