Gunshots Damage Shaker Heights Home, Police Investigating
Someone fired a gun near Lomond Boulevard, causing some damage, police say. No one was hurt in the incident.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Residents near the 19000 block of Lomond Boulevard complained Wednesday night about a gun being fired in the area. When police arrived, they found damage to a home but, luckily, no one has reported being wounded by the bullets.
A spokesperson for Shaker Heights Police said officers cannot reveal too much about the case because they are still actively investigating the incident. However, the officer did say the damage to the home on Lomond was not structural.
Officers have been keeping an extra vigilant watch over that section of neighborhood, the spokesperson told Patch. Units were in the area Wednesday night, returned Thursday morning and will continue to patrol near the 19000 block of Lomond.

Police are still developing leads for their investigation and are keeping many details close to their chest during the initial stages of the investigation. Anyone with information that may be pertinent to the case is asked to call the Shaker Heights Police Department's Investigative Bureau at 216-491-1270.
Police have said updates on the investigation will be provided as the situation develops. The department posted a message on social media, assuring residents police would be vigilant near Lomond.
