Hike Doan Brook with Dr. Roy Larik

Want to know more about the cultural and natural history of your watershed? Join us on the first of three distinct hikes covering a variety of topics including the geology, ecology, and cultural history of the Doan Brook Watershed. Hikes will be led by archaeologist, Dr. Roy Larik, who conducts research across the world. Dr. Larik studies how humans interact with natural features. His local work engages Clevelanders with place, the value of nature, and nature-informed planning. He encourages more equitable living with the natural legacy of Lake Erie and the Portage Escarpment.
Hikers will meet at Fairhill Partners and head into the watershed to uncover unique features of the Doan Brook. Each distinct hike will cover a variety of topics including geology, ecology, natural and cultural history. Participation is $5. To register and for more information, call Ann Gilmore at 219.325.7781 or email gilmore@doanbrookpartnership.org. Generously sponsored by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
