Home Break-Ins Sweep Across Shaker Heights: Police Blotter
Four homes were broken into by thieves over the past week.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Four homes in the city were broken into over the past week. Residents should lock their doors and windows before retiring for the evening, otherwise they risk exposing themselves to thieves.
Burglary, Oct. 31 - A resident in the 3000 block of Chadbourne Rd. reported that an unknown suspect(s) damaged their door, entered their home, and stole personal property and electronics.
Theft, Oct. 31 - An unknown suspect(s) stole a resident's bicycle, which was secured with a lock to a rack in the 15000 block of Aldersyde Rd.

Theft, Oct. 31 - At approximately 2:30 pm, a manager at Compass Self-Storage located in the 16000 block of Chagrin Blvd., reported that a suspect entered a storage unit and stole personal property.
Theft, Oct. 31 - At approximately 8:56 pm, a resident in the 2000 block of Brighton Rd. reported that an unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked home and stole personal property.

Burglary, Nov. 1 - A resident of the 3300 block of Warrensville Center Rd. reported that between 5:15 p.m. and 8 p.m., an unknown person(s) entered an unlocked bathroom window and removed jewelry, electronics, and cash.
Burglary, Nov. 1 - A resident of the 3200 block of Somerset Dr. reported that between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm an unknown person(s) entered their home through an unlocked first floor window and removed cash from a bedroom.
Theft, Nov. 3 - A resident in the 3500 block of Northfield Rd. reported that $65 was removed from their unsecured purse over the course of several days.
Motor Vehicle Theft, Nov. 3 - A resident of the 18500 block of Winslow Rd. reported their unlocked 2003 Jeep Liberty was removed from the road in front of the home sometime during the afternoon.
