How To Dispose Of Flood Damaged Items In Shaker Heights

To get rid of damaged items, the city opened the Service Center to residents.

Disposal of Flood Damaged Items

We are aware that many people are dealing with flooded basements and damaged items after last night’s intense storm and subsequent flooding. To get rid of damaged items, we are opening the Service Center (15600 Chagrin Blvd) from 4-7 pm starting Monday, March 30 – Friday, April 3. Please bring ID to show to the attendant through the window. Rules regarding once per quarter limits are suspended. As always, residents will have to unload their cars themselves. Please observe all social distancing protocols while at the Service Center.

Throughout the night, Public Works crews monitored dams and culverts and closed roads as needed. We are preparing a plan for needed repairs. It is hard to believe that on top of the coronavirus pandemic, we are facing the aftermath of yet another storm. We hope you and your family are safe and healthy. #weareinthistogether
