Interim Principal Announced For Shaker Heights School

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — George Clark has been named the interim principal of Lomond Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year, the Shaker Heights Schools announced. He will begin work on August 5.

“Mr. Clark is a proven leader who has had a positive impact on students everywhere he has been,” said Superintendent David Glasner. “We are delighted he has agreed to take this important role.”

Clark has been the assistant principal of Shaker Heights High since 2017. He lives in the Sussex neighborhood and is the parent of two Shaker students. His wife, Kiana, is a Shaker Heights High graduate.

The Shaker Heights Schools said they will schedule a meet and greet event with Clark in the coming days.

Before joining Shaker Heights High, Clark was an intervention specialist working with students with learning disabilities and cognitive delays. He has also been an assistant athletic director. He got his bachelor's degree in education from the University of Toledo and his master's degree in educational administration and supervision from Bowling Green State University.
