Join Shaker Library for its Reading Group Rendezvous for Book Lovers

Calling all readers! Summer may be over but the reading continues. Bring your book club members and learn about the rich resources Shaker Library and the community offer readers when Shaker Library hosts a Reading Group Rendezvous for Book Lovers at 7 pm Wednesday, September 13 on the second floor of the Main Library, located at 16500 Van Aken Boulevard in Shaker Heights.

Meet Shaker librarians who lead book discussions along with Harriett Logan of Loganberry Books, Lorraine Nelson of CWRU Continuing Education, Susan Clement from Eastside Welcome Club, and representatives from Mac’s Backs Books on Coventry and Appletree Books who will share information about local book discussion opportunities.

Penguin Random House will provide reading group guides, information about the American Library Association’s Book Group Central, and advanced reader copies of new books sure to appeal to book groups.

Learn what other book clubs are reading. Share the books that provoked the most discussion among your book club members along with your book club’s favorite (and perhaps least favorite) books. Learn how to keep your book club vibrant or how to join one. Take the Library’s book club survey to help them learn how they can serve your book club needs.
