Join us at this screening event for families of people with type 1 diabetes

This screening is part of an international research program called type 1 diabetes TrialNet. TrialNet is currently screening relatives of people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers are conducting this study to understand more about the development of Type 1 diabetes and to look at ways to delay or prevent Type 1 diabetes. Through a blood test, doctors can determine if an individual may be at risk for diabetes years before symptoms appear. Family members of people with Type 1 diabetes -- parents, children, brothers and sisters are eligible to be screened, FREE of charge. Cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren may also be eligible. Screenings are at Camp Ho Mita Koda, 14040 Auburn Road, Newbury, OH 44065: June 16: 12:30-4 p.m. June 23: 12:30-4 p.m. July 7: 12:30-4 p.m. July 14: 12:30-4 p.m. July 28: 12:30-4 p.m. www.CampHoMitaKoda.org If you would like consent forms to complete prior to your arrival at camp, please call 1-800-230-8486.
