Kenmore Road RTA Crossing Construction Starts June 14
The crossing will be closed from June 14 to July 3, weather permitting. Van Aken Boulevard will be reduced to one lane during the project.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Construction season is underway in Shaker Heights. The Kenmore Road crossing of the Blue Line will begin Wednesday, June 14 and will end Monday, July 3. The project is part of the RTA's Rapid rail crossing improvements. All construction dates are weather permitting.
Traffic, both from motorists and walkers, across Van Aken Boulevard on Kenmore will be prohibited during the length of the project. Detour signs will be posted.
Pedestrians will be able to use temporary crossings outside the construction area. Those areas will also be marked with signs.

Van Aken Boulevard will also be reduced to one lane in each direction during the construction.
During the weekends of June 17-18 and June 24-25 crews will be working around the clock. Regular service will be maintained by trains or buses.
