Man Assaulted for $8 in Shaker Heights: Weekend Police Blotter

The man was waiting for public transportation when three suspects approached him, assaulted him, and stole the $8.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - It was a busy weekend in Shaker Heights. An East Cleveland man was assaulted while waiting for public transport on Saturday. The three thieves assaulted the man for $8.

Theft, Nov. 17 - A resident of Kenmore Road reported that someone stole two laptops from their unlocked car. They reported the theft at 10:37 a.m.

Possession of Stolen Goods, Nov. 18 - A 23-year-old Cleveland resident was detained by police at about 4:40 p.m. The Clevelander was found in possession of goods stolen from Chagrin Wine & Beverage, located in the 16000 block of Chagrin Boulevard.

Mugging, Nov. 18 - An East Cleveland man that was waiting for public transportation in the area of Daleford Road and Van Aken Boulevard was assaulted Nov. 18. Three male suspects approached the man, hit him, and then stole $8.

Possession of Stolen Goods, Nov. 20 - At about 8 p.m., police were called to the 3000 block of Ludlow Road. When they arrived, they detained a 47-year-old Cleveland man who was found to be in possession of stolen equipment.
