Man Responsible for Series of Robberies in Shaker Heights, Surrounding Areas: Detectives
Police are looking for a man believed to have participated in a string of at least five robberies.

Police suspect the same man may be responsible for several robberies in Shaker Heights, Garfield Heights and Maple Heights, Garfield Heights police Lt. Robert Byrne told Patch.
Each of the robberies are connected by the man’s methods and his getaway vehicle.
In most of the robberies, a man bought at item at a gas station or convenience store. Once the cash register is opened the man demands money. Employees told police the man keeps his hands in his pocket during the robberies to give the impression he is armed. He is believed to have participated in at least five robberies.

Police believe the man is connected to two robberies at a BP station on Turney Road, a Libby Road Sunoco in Maple Heights, a Walgreens on Van Aiken Boulevard and a FirstMerit Bank on Lee Road.
No arrests have been made yet, but detectives from the three affected cities are attempting to identify the man. He was seen leaving some of the scenes in a Toyota Camry, and may be armed, according to police.
