Meet Shaker's 5 Newest Police Officers
The department recently hired five new officers to begin policing the community. Get to know the new officers.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The police department added five new officers on March 24. The men signed their Oath of Office at Shaker Heights City Hall.
The five new officers are Chris Spinos, Joseph Timko, Tyler Kirby, Adam Figiluzzi, and Zachary Saddler. The group has a diverse background and range of experience.
Spinos is a graduate of Eastlake North High School and Lakeland Community College, where he earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. Spinos completed the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Academy in 2012 and was working as a police officer in Bratenhal prior to joining Shaker Heights.

Kirby is a graduate of North Royalton High School. He was working as an EMS at LifeCare in Lorain. He is a recent graduate of the Tri-C Police Academy.
Figiluzzi is a graduate of Bay High School and a veteran of the US Navy. He also graduated from Mount Union where he received a Bachelor's in Exercise Science. He is another recent graduate of the Tri-C Police Academy.

Timko is a graduate of Parma Senior High School and Tiffin University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a 2016 graduate of the Cleveland Heights Police Academy.
Saddler is a hometown boy and graduate of Shaker Heights High School. He attended Ohio State University, where he received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Sociology and Criminology. He started at the Tri-C Police Academy on March 27.
A spokesperson for the Shaker Heights Police Department told Patch, "As reflected on our Facebook page, we are very proud of all of these newly hired members."
