The Shaker Historical Society (SHS), 16740 South Park Blvd. in Shaker Heights, OH, presents Mrs. Luthi and Her Shaker Heights Garden by Dr. Ware Petznick, Executive Director of The Shaker Historical Society on February 21, 2016 at 3pm.

Dr. Petznick will discuss the original landscaping and gardening design for a Shaker Heights residence built in 1925 and 1926 for Arthur and Helen Luthi, based on original receipts in the SHS archives. Learn about the types of plants that Mrs. Helen Luthi planted in her new garden in Shaker Heights in 1925. Looking through the detailed receipts and even some plans, we will discover what varieties of plants were available to Shaker Heights’ new gardens.
