New Photo Contest In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — One of the iconic features of Cleveland's east side suburbs, versus their peers on the west side, is the presence of magnificent trees and urban forests. To celebrate this natural phenomenon, Shaker Heights is holding a juried photo exhibit showcasing the city's trees.

The contest is open to photographers of all skill levels. Interested participants should submit three photos of trees located throughout Shaker Heights. Photographers don't have to be residents of the city. The deadline for entry is Dec. 16.

The exhibit will be shown at the Shaker Heights Public Library starting Feb. 1 and ending March 15. The display will be called Rings of Life: The Threes of Shaker Heights: A Photographic Essay.

The contest is being sponsored by the city, Shaker Heights Public Library and the Photo Club at the Nature Center of Shaker Lakes.
