New Police, Fire Dispatch Center Active In Shaker Heights

The Heights-Hillcrest Communications Center is located in the MetroHealth Building.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Residents may hear a new response when they call 911. The Heights-Hillcrest Communications Center (HHCC), a joint dispatch center that brings together five communities, became active on Wednesday.

The facility will support Cleveland Heights, Richmond Heights, Shaker Heights, South Euclid and University Heights. A $1 million grant from the county helped make the HHCC possible, promising to bring state-of-the-art technology with the funds. There will also be additional staffing during peak hours and major incidents, according to Cleveland Heights.

The HHCC will be located in the MetroHealth Building in Cleveland Heights.
