The Shaker Historical Society (SHS), 16740
South Park Blvd. in Shaker Heights, OH announces
the installation of a solo art exhibit Parker’s
Playground, the playful, abstract and vibrant paintings from Patricia Zinsmeister Parker in the Jack
and Linda Lissauer Gallery. Join SHS members and friends for an exquisite FREE Opening Reception on Friday,
November 15th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
One of the Ohio’s finest examples of American expressionist painters, Patricia Zinsmeister Parker has become known for her
expressive paintings and still life works on paper that over time has shaken up
the typical and the pristine canvases
of the New Realist painters. Dr. Lou Zona, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Butler Institute of American Art
stated, “Parker has a knack for creating playful but elegant works which rely
as much on pictorial puzzles and zaniness as upon formalist knowledge and
technical handling.”
