Prowler Caught On Video In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — There have been six thefts from unlocked houses and cars over the past week in Shaker Heights. One prowler was caught on camera creeping through yards in the Mercer Neighborhood.

Over the weekend, an unlocked car on Westchester Road was hit by a prowler (no indication if it's the person in the video). Property was taken from the car. That same night, someone stole a pair of bicycles from an unlocked garage on Norwood Road.

Before this weekend, four thefts occurred around Shaker Heights. Here's details on each of these (previously written about last week).

A resident that lives in the 14000 block of Ashwood Road had electronics stolen from their unlocked home. The theft was reported at about 8 a.m. on Thursday, police said.
A resident on Milverton Road, at about 10 a.m. on Thursday, told police that a man stole personal property from them. At noon, the owner of a property on Warrensville Center Road reported that a woman may have stolen property from her.

Finally, a little before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Shaker Heights Police were called to the 19000 block of Van Aken Boulevard. A resident there reported that someone had stolen property from their home.
