Rash Of Burglaries From Unlocked Shaker Homes

Three unlocked homes in Shaker Heights were hit by burglars over the weekend. There were also thefts from unlocked cars.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Shaker Heights had three homes burgled over the weekend. All three homes were unlocked and left open to victimization. You can read more about those incidents and others from the past weekend.

Burglary, May 12 - Someone stole electronics from an unlocked home in the 3000 block of Avalon Road. The theft was reported at 12:58 p.m.

Theft, May 12 - An unlocked bicycle was stolen from a driveway on the 3000 block of Chadbourne Road.

Motor Vehicle Theft, May 13 - On Saturday, police were called to the 20000 block of Lomond Boulevard. A resident was reporting that their unlocked car had been stolen. Shaker Heights Police, with the help of Cleveland Police, were able to locate the vehicle. A 15-year-old Cleveland resident was arrested in connection with the incident.

Burglary, May 13 - Someone entered an unlocked home on Marchmont Road and stole personal property from a Shaker Heights residents. Police say the theft occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Saturday. Police were later able to arrest two Cleveland residents, 16 and 17-years-old respectively, and recover the resident's personal property.

Burglary, May 14 - Another day, another unlocked home, another burglary. This time, an unlocked home in the 3000 block of Morley Road was victimized and a resident's electronics and personal property were stolen overnight.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, May 14 - A laptop was stolen from a resident's unlocked car while it was parked overnight on the 2000 block of Kingsley Road.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, May 14 - Personal property was stolen from an unlocked car parked on Kinglsey Road.
