Rash Of Lawn Equipment Thefts In Shaker Heights
A leaf blower and other lawn equipment were stolen over the weekend in Shaker Heights.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The past weekend saw a pair of strange thefts in the city. A leaf blower and other lawn equipment were stolen in two separate thefts on Saturday. Read on for more information on those incidents and others from the weekend.
Theft from Motor Vehicle, May 19 - Someone entered an unlocked car parked in the 3000 block of Pennington Road during the nighttime hours. Police did not say if anything was taken from the vehicle.
Burglary, May 20 - A Cleveland Heights resident reported that someone entered their locked property and stole copper piping. The home was undergoing rehabilitation work.

Theft, May 20 - A leaf blower was stolen from a landscaper in the 3000 block of Woodbury Road. The landscaper believes two unknown male suspects snagged the leaf blower, which had been left unsecured but was fixed to a truck.
Theft, May 21 - There was a run on lawn equipment over the weekend in Shaker Heights. Someone stole lawn equipment and electronics from a locked storage unit in the 2000 block of Van Aken Boulevard.

Shoplifting, May 21 - Police were called to the Walgreens store, 16400 Chagrin Blvd., for reports of a theft. Staff told officers that a man had grabbed cleaning supplies and fled the store. Police were able to locate and detain a 58-year-old Cleveland resident.
