Repaving Starting On Main Shaker Heights Streets
Work started this week on several main thoroughfares. Crews will be operating through August on the streets.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Pavement marking has started in earnest on several streets throughout Shaker Heights this week.
Crews are repainting South Woodland Road, Chagrin Boulevard, Warrensville Center Road, Lee Road and Fairmount Boulevard. Side streets will be worked on later in the season, according to the city.
Construction should be completed by mid-August. The work will have an impact on the commute through Shaker Heights.

Traffic will be forced to travel at the pace of the paint truck during long-line painting on main roads. Lanes will be blocked temporarily when crews work on crosswalks and stop bars. Finally, work will happen day and night. Daytime work will start at 9 a.m. and night time work will start between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and conclude in the early morning.
Shaker Heights police also noted that work has started on a gas line replacement on Chagrin Boulevard. Drivers and residents will notice crews working at Lynnfield. Those crews will migrate westward, toward Normandy. The project will take approximately two weeks to complete.
