Resident Forced to Give Car Keys to Mugger: Shaker Heights Police
The thief stopped the resident on Cheshire Road and then fled on foot.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - This week was quiet for Shaker Heights Police, with only a handful of reported incidents so far. Most of the crimes involved theft of some kind, including a resident being forced to hand over their car keys to a mugger.
Theft, Nov. 7 - At approximately 8:31 am, a resident in the 3000 block of Lee Rd. reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole money from their unlocked motor vehicle.
Theft, Nov. 7 - Officers responded to Shaker Hardware, located in the 17000 block of Chagrin Blvd., where they detained a 56-year-old Cleveland resident who was observed stealing, and found in possession of stolen goods.

Theft, Nov. 8 - At approximately 11:52 am, a resident in the 2000 block of Cheshire Rd. reported that an unknown male suspect(s) demanded their car keys and then fled on foot.
Theft, Nov. 8 - An employee of the Thomas’ English Muffins company reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole a laptop and printer from their unlocked delivery truck while at Heinen’s, located in the 16000 block of Chagrin Blvd.

Theft, Nov. 10 - Someone stole landscaping equipment from an unlocked truck.
