SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The city's first Roll 'N Stroll will be held August 4, and residents will invited to either walk or bicycle their way through a scavenger hunt and self-guided tour of the Moreland Neighborhood. The event is free and family-friendly.
Check-in for the event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at The Dealership, 3558 Lee Road. The scavenger hunt and tours will run from 10 a.m. until noon. There will then be crafts and games until 2 p.m. The event will begin and end at The Dealership.
Prior to the scavenger hunt and tour, attendees will get a map of the area. The city said this new event is an "outgrowth of a history project in the Moreland neighborhood. In partnership with Cleveland State University, an in-depth, historical study of the neighborhood was undertaken. From that, written and oral histories have been produced that bring to life the many dimensions of this unique neighborhood. Click here, and here, to view the history project.
