Shaker Block Parties, Community Building Event Announced

SHAC on TRAC – The Road to Arts & Community will bring three block parties to locations in Shaker Heights throughout the summer.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Starting June 24 there will be a series of block parties throughout Shaker Heights thanks to a new community program. SHAC on TRAC is designed to unite the Shaker community through arts and engagement. A second block party will be held July 21 and a third will be held Aug. 25.

Created by the Shaker Arts Council (SHAC), the block parties aren't meant to only unite the community. The organization is also hoping it will inspire the community to actively engage in the arts.

Each block party will be hosted in a different location and will feature events for all ages. The planned activities currently include interactive art activity, live music, and strolling entertainers. Each participant will also be tasked with contributing, somehow, with a unity sculpture.
