Shaker Heights: Census 2020 - Make Sure You're Counted!

The U.S. Census Bureau has announced it will cease all counting on September 30, instead of on October 31 as previously announced.

August 5, 2020

The U.S. Census Bureau has announced it will cease all counting efforts (internet, mail, phone, and the crucial door-to-door count) on September 30, instead of on October 31 as previously announced. Unfortunately, 40 percent of households have yet to respond, including many households of historically underrepresented groups. This undercount will dramatically impact the allocation of federal funding for the next 10 years, including monies that we get right here in Shaker Heights (for the Shaker Schools free and reduced lunch program, for example).
