Shaker Heights Coffee With a Cop Scheduled for Feb. 10

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The political climate has never been more divisive. As a result of that climate, more people than ever find themselves with mixed opinions on the state of American policing. Well, now's your time to meet the men and women that police your neighborhood.

The Shaker Heights Police Department is participating in a national movement called Coffee With a Cop. On Feb. 10, the department will have representatives at the J. Pistone Market and Cafe, 3245 Warrensville Center Rd., Shaker Heights.

Officers will be stationed at the cafe from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The initiative is supported the United States Department of Justice. The whole program is designed to encourage dialogue between police departments and the communities they serve. There is also the hope that through good conversation, departments may find new and better ways to serve their communities.
