Shaker Heights Parents: Share Your Thoughts On Homework Load
The K-8 Homework Policy Committee is asking parents of students in grades 5-8 to share their experiences with their students' homework.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Are you worried about the amount of homework your student is bringing home with them? Do you think they should be doing more? Less? Now's your chance to let the school district know your thoughts.
The district's K-8 Homework Policy Committee is reviewing homework loads and styles for students in grades 5 to 8. The committee is composed of parents, teachers, and staff. Parents of students in those grade levels are asked to fill out a 10-minute survey for the committee to review. After reviewing the survey results, the group will make a recommendation on potential homework policy.
The committee said the survey is loaded with open ended questions. That design is meant to allow for more freedom in responses. The committee wants parents to reflect on their experiences with their children's homework and give thought-out recommendations.
