Shaker Heights Photo Contest Winners Announced

The Shaker Heights Landmark Commission selected six winners for its annual Preservation Month Contest.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The Shaker Heights Landmark Commission has announced the winners of the fifth annual Preservation Month photo contest. More than 30 photographers submitted 75 entries for the contest. Six photos were selected as first-place selections and runner-ups.

The contest was created in 2013 to commemorate National Preservation Month, which is celebrated in May. The photographs were intended to capture the variety of architectural styles throughout the city.

“The winners highlight the subtle details that make Shaker so visually rich and showcase beloved buildings in a new light,” says Ann Klavora, principal planner for the city, in a statement. “As always, it was a pleasure receiving and reviewing the submissions.”
