Shaker Heights Police Arrest 2 Teens After Car Theft

A Norwood Road resident reported her car missing. Police later located the vehicle and arrested two teenagers for damaging the car.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Police may have a busy Friday on tap with St. Patrick's Day turning Greater Cleveland green for 24 hours, but the week leading up to Friday has been relatively quiet. The biggest incident police dealt with was a car stolen from Norwood Road, which officers later located. They also arrested a pair of 17-year-olds who had damaged the vehicle. You can find a breakdown of that incident, and a couple of others, from this past week below.

Theft of Motor Vehicle, March 13 - Police were called to the 3000 block of Norwood Road for reports of a stolen vehicle. Police were later able to locate the vehicle and detained two 17-year-olds who had damaged the vehicle and were also in possession of stolen, delivered packages.

Theft, March 15 - A resident of Stoer Road reported that someone stole their mountain bike and motorized bike from the back of their unlocked garage. Police were able to later recover the motorized bike.

Trespassing, March 15 - Callers reported that a 56-year-old Maple Heights resident was prowling around Van Aken Boulevard and was spotted waltzing into a garage without permission. Police arrived and were able to detain the Maple Heights suspect.
