Shaker Heights Police Arrest Bank Robber
Officers grabbed the man following a short foot chase.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The First Merit Bank, 3505 Lee Road, was robbed at about noon today. A 43 year old suspect was pursued and arrested by police.
According to a statement on the Shaker Heights Facebook page, the suspect was arrested after a short foot chase. No weapon was used int he robbery and residents were not in danger because of the incident.
The man is in custody at the Shaker Heights Police Department and is awaiting formal charges. The investigation remains open.
