Shaker Heights Police Participating In Fundraising Bicycle Ride For Families Of Fallen Officers
The department will take part in a 250 mile bike ride that will help raise funds for organizations that support families of fallen police.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Every year a team of cyclists from the Shaker Heights Police Department make a 250-mile trek to honor fallen officers across the United States. The cycling is part of the Law Enforcement United Road to Hope Ride, which raises funds for the families of fallen officers.
The organization provides all proceeds to the families and is able to do because the entire event is volunteer organized and run.
On the Shaker Heights fundraising page, which you can contribute to, the department says it will contribute its raised monies to Project Active Armor, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), The Officer Down Memorial Page (O.D.M.P.), and Spirit of Blue Foundation, as well as the Law Enforcement United Road to Hope Ride.
