Shaker Heights Public Library Up For Regional Award

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The Shaker Heights Library is competing with five of its Northeast Ohio peers for the title of "Best Northeast Ohio Library" from Macaroni Kids, a family-centric national publication geared toward moms and civic groups. To win the award, the library will need the help of its patrons.

The other libraries nominated in the category are Heights Public Libraries, Fairview Park Public Library, Parma Public Library and the Avon Lake Public Library. Voting will determine the winner.

"We hope people will cast their votes for Shaker Library for the Macaroni Kids' Best Library. Our library staff does an excellent job in planning a variety of programs for children and families. From our collaboration with Family Connections on our Play and Learn Station at Main Library, which serves babies and children up to age 5 and their families and caregivers, to story times designed for specific age groups, to after school programs and homework help, to service to teens - Shaker Library offers many vital services and enriching programs for the entire family," said Margaret Simon, Shaker Heights Library's public relations coordinator.
