SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - A resident of Shaker Heights was shot on March 1. The man's neighbor called police and reported the incident.

Commander John Cole said the man, 30, suffered a gunshot to the torso. The resident was located in the stairwell of his neighbor's house and transported to a local hospital and has been in treatment since arriving yesterday, Cole said. Police have been able to get a description of the incident from the man because of the need for medical treatment.

The gunshot wound is not fatal but is serious enough that police haven't had a chance to discuss the incident. Police don't yet have a suspect for the crime.
