Shaker High Principal Candidates Hold Community Sessions: Watch

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Residents that were unable to attend the meet-and-greet sessions with the finalists competing to be Shaker Heights High principal can watch the sessions online.

Eric R. Juli and Patrick D. McNichols had their public sessions this week. Juli's community session was Monday, April 29. McNichol's community session was Wednesday, May 1. Both events were held in the Shaker Heights High upper cafeteria.

Community members should submit their feedback to the district by Monday, May 6. A new Shaker Heights High principal should be announced on May 10, the district said.

Both interviews lasted about one hour. Both videos are at the bottom of this article. Feedback on the candidates can be submitted online.

Juli is the head of school at the Design Lab Early College High School in Cleveland. He previously held a variety of administrative positions in the Lawrence (Massachusetts) Public Schools. He has also taught in Boston, California and New York City.

McNichols is the current principal of Roxboro Middle School in Cleveland Heights. Before going to Cleveland Heights, McNichols was a house principal at Lakewood High and principal of East High School in Cleveland. He began his educational career as a teacher at Max S. Hayes Vocational School in Cleveland.
