Shaker Library Offers FREE Reading and Math Review Packets

Worried about the dreaded Summer Slide? And we don't mean the playground equipment! Many children lose educational ground during the summer months, forgetting much of what they learned during the school year. Factor in the COVID Quarantine and there is a significant risk for youngsters.

What to do? Your Shaker Library can help! The Library offers take-home Reading and Math Review packets for parents to take home and work with their children on math and reading skills as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Created by tutors and designed for an individual student's grade level, each packet contains a grade-bridge workbook, math and reading activities, one fiction or nonfiction book, 2 pencils, and a two-pocket folder.

Parents and guardians can register for a Summer Review Packet online or over the phone for curbside pickup from July 8 through August 8, 2020.

Please note: The COVID-19 pandemic may impact the delivery of materials. Staff will contact parents and guardians with updates as needed.

To request a packet, call 216-991-2030 or go online to request a summer review packet. Library staff will contact parents and guardians to schedule an appointment to pick up the materials curbside at the Main Library. Materials should be available approximately two weeks after registration.
