Shaker Middle School Holding Food Drive Fundraiser

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The Shaker Middle School's Harvest for Hunger Soup Luncheon is looking for volunteer help and food and supply donations. The event, which will be held March 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

The Shaker Middle School cafeteria will host the event.

According to an email from the school, the Middle School raised $312.16 last year and donated 360 pounds of food to the Food Bank. In terms of meals, that meant 990 nutritious meals for vulnerable citizens. This year's campaign will similarly help the Harvest for Hunger campaign at the Greater Cleveland Food Bak.

The school says they need 20 volunteers to serve soup and collect donations during the event. SMS also needs crock pots and loads of soup for the event, so even if you can't physically be at the event, you could still donate canned goods or cookery to help out.

All donated items can be dropped off March 13 at the school.
