Shaker Square Bank Robbed

The PNC on South Moreland was robbed on April 1 by a lone male suspect.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The PNC Bank on South Moreland in Cleveland was robbed on April 1. The Cleveland FBI believes one man may be responsible for the robbery.

The robbery took place at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday. An unidentified man walked into the customer line at the PNC, approached a teller, and handed over a note saying he was robbing the bank. The teller handed the man cash and then the man said, "now sit your ass down."

The FBI says the man was seen getting into the driver's side of a black GMC SUV parked in the gas station south of the bank. The vehicle was then seen going west on Drexmore.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his 50s, approximately 5'5 and 160 pounds. He walked with a limp and had a cane. He was dressed in a brown and orange "Browns" knit hat, blue surgical mask, blue coat, tan pants, and dark brown boots.

No weapon was seen. No physical injuries were reported.

Tips can be provided to the 4th District Cleveland Division of Police, the Cleveland FBI or Crimestoppers. Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible. Tips can remain anonymous. PNC is offering an additional up to $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this individual.
