Teenager Nearly Mugged In Shaker Heights

The 15-year-old was walking down Chagrin Boulevard when two men pulled a handgun on him. The teen managed to get away unharmed.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Chagrin Boulevard was nearly the site of a mugging for a 15-year-old. The teenager was walking down the street when two men approached him and pulled out a handgun. Read on for more details.

Motor Vehicle Theft, Feb. 13 - A Warrensville Center Road resident had their car stolen from their unlocked garage.

Threatening, Feb. 13 - Two unidentified, hooded, male suspects approached a 15-year-old resident walking down Chagrin Boulevard at 6:30 p.m. The two men pulled out a handgun and demanded the teenager's cell phone. Police say the incident ended happily, with the teenager getting away and no one injured and no property taken.

Damage, Feb. 14 - The door frame to a Ludgate Road resident's house was damaged by an unidentified suspect. No property has been reported stolen from the home.

Burglary, Feb. 14 - No love on Valentine's Day. A Shaker Heights resident reported that someone came into their house and stole two televisions. The theft was reported at about 1:15 p.m.

Theft, Feb. 15 - Stop leaving your vehicles unlocked overnight. A resident of Grenway Road reported that money was stolen from his unlocked car. The money was stolen at some point overnight and the theft was uncovered at 7:30 a.m.

Theft, Feb. 15 - Another unlocked car, another easy theft, another car on Grenway Road. The theft was discovered at 8:23 a.m. and personal property was stolen from the car. The theft occurred at some point overnight.

Theft, Feb. 15 - This time the unlocked car that was victimized was on Van Aken Boulevard. Money and personal property was stolen from the car during the nighttime hours.

Theft, Feb. 15 - There were two thefts at the CVS Pharmacy, at 17000 block of Chagrin Boulevard. The first occurred at 12:57 p.m. when a female suspect stole some goods and ran out of the store. A similar theft occurred at about 3:30 p.m. when a man pulled the same stunt, grabbing property and running out.
