Thieves Targeting Unlocked Garages In Shaker Heights

A lawn mower and bicycle were stolen two separate garages over the weekend.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Law enforcement agencies throughout the nation are forced to regularly remind residents to lock up their garages and cars. Over the weekend, two Shaker Heights residents could have used that reminder.

On Friday, June 15, police learned that a lawn mower was stolen out of an unlocked garage in the 3000 block of Enderby Road. Luckily, police have identified a suspect in the theft, a 50-year-old Cleveland man.

The next day, a silver bicycle was stolen out of an unlocked garage in the 19000 block of Winslow Road. Police did not say whether or not they have a suspect for that theft.
