Two Bicycles Stolen In Shaker Heights — Including Child's Bike
Who is so desperate for a bike that they're willing to steal it from a child?

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Two bicycles were stolen in Shaker Heights over the weekend, within two hours of each other, including a child's bicycle. Police said at least one of the bikes was left unattended and unlocked before it was snatched up.
The first bike theft happened in the 2000 block of Dryden Road on Saturday. A resident found their bicycle had been taken from their unlocked, multi-unit garage. They reported the theft at about 3:20 p.m.
Two hours later another bicycle theft was reported — this time someone stole a bike from a child. A Cleveland resident and their child were visiting the Shaker Heights Public Library, on Van Aken Boulevard.

While they were inside the library, at about 5:20 p.m., someone stole the Cleveland child's mountain bicycle.
While these thefts are no one's fault, except the thieves, residents and visitors should always take an extra moment to make sure their property is locked-up. It may not prevent all thefts, but it could deter a few prowlers.
