Two Break-Ins At Shaker Heights Homes In Two Days

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Two homes were burgled last Wednesday and Thursday, according to Shaker Heights police records. The burglaries took place on Canterbury Lane and Chadbourne Road. One of the houses was unlocked when the suspect got inside.

The first incident took place Jan. 17 on Chadbourne. An unidentified suspect got into a house in the 3000 block and stole a fixture from the home. The house was unlocked at the time of the burglary, police records said.

The second incident took place the next day, Jan. 18, on Canterbury. Unidentified suspects got into a home in the 20000 block and stole personal property. It's unclear what was taken or if the home was locked at the time of the burglary.

There were also two burglaries on New Year's Eve in Shaker Heights. On that night, police saw someone enter a vacant home on Van Aken Boulevard and steal fixtures. A locked home on East Byron Road was also burgled, with the suspect stealing personal property.
