Two Homes Broken Into in Shaker Heights
The burglaries took place an hour apart. One was on Rye Road and the other was on Inverness Road.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Police are also looking into a pair of home break-ins that occurred on Jan. 1o. The two homes were burglarized about an hour apart. The first at about 11 a.m. and the other at noon.
Burglary, Jan. 10 - Shaker Heights Police were called to a home on Rye Road where someone broke in and stole personal property. The home was locked at the time of the break-in.
Burglary, Jan. 10 - Someone also broke into a home on Inverness Road. That home was also locked and personal property was stolen.

Shoplifting, Jan. 10 - The manager of the Walgreens on Van Aken Boulevard reported that an unidentified man stole consumable goods and fled from the store.
Police are also warning residents to not meet Internet sellers and buyers at their home or on the street. Instead, take the person to the lobby of the Shaker Heights Police Department or use the department's parking lot. Last year, a number of residents have been ripped off doing deals via sites like Craigslist.
