Two Shaker Heights Homes Burgled On New Year's Eve
Homes on Van Aken Boulevard and East Byron Road were both broken into on Dec. 31.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Two homes were burgled on New Year's Eve, according to police reports. In both instances, a suspect got into the house and stole personal property. The burglaries took place on Van Aken Boulevard and East Byron Road.

Possession of Stolen Goods, Dec. 29 — Police were called to the Dollar Tree store in the 17000 block of Chagrin Boulevard at about 9 p.m. on Dec. 29. Officers then detained a 53-year-old Parma man who was seen with stolen goods.

Shoplifting, Dec. 30 —Property was stolen from the Howard Hanna in the 200000 block of Chagrin Boulevard.
Theft, Dec. 30 — A visitor at Shaker Heights Library had their wallet stolen.

Theft, Dec. 30 — A man stole money out of the unattended cash register at the Pizza Hut in the 16000 block of Chagrin Blvd.
Burglary, Dec. 31 — On New Year's Eve, Shaker Heights cops saw an unidentified suspect enter a vacant home in the 3000 block of Van Aken Blvd. and steal fixtures.
Burglary, Dec. 31 — A locked home on East Byron Road was burgled on New Year's Eve. The suspect broke into the house and stole personal property.
Burglary, Jan. 2 — Someone entered a locked home in the 3000 block of Menlo Road and stole property from the house.
