Unlocked Car, Garage Targeted By Thieves In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Residents should always take the extra time to lock their cars and houses. Thieves will check for unlocked property to try and rifle through. Two residents found that out the hard way this past week in Shaker.

Burglary, June 4 — A lawn mower was stolen out of a resident's unlocked garage in the 2000 block of Huntington Road.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, June 5 — Cash was taken from an unlocked car in the 3000 block of Warrington Road.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, June 5 — The catalytic converter was stolen off a Cleveland Heights resident's car while it was in a parking garage in the 20000 block of Chagrin Boulevard. Police believe the incident occurred before June 4.

Shoplifting, June 6 — Someone stole merchandise from Walgreens on Chagrin Boulevard on Wednesday. The theft occurred at about 9:45 a.m.
