Unlocked Car Stolen In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — An unlocked car was stolen from a resident over the weekend. This time the vehicle was stolen out of a residential area, a departure from recent car thefts that have taken place at gas stations throughout Shaker Heights.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, Feb. 8 — Someone damaged a locked car parked in the 2000 block of North Moreland Boulevard on Thursday. The suspect stole property from the vehicle.

Possession of Stolen Goods, Feb. 9 — A 30-year-old Cleveland man was detained by police after he was found in possession of stolen goods at Heinen's, on Chagrin Boulevard.

Shoplifting, Feb. 10 — An employee at CVS on Chagrin Boulevard reported that an unidentified man stole supplies from the store and then ran out.

Burglary, Feb. 11 — Someone broke into a locked home in the 3000 block of Pennington Road. The home is unoccupied, but the property manager reported the break-in.

Theft from Home, Feb. 11 — An unidentified suspect stole a delivered package from a home in the 17000 block of Scottsdale Boulevard.

Grand Theft Auto, Feb. 11 — A resident's 2016 black Toyota Highlander was stolen in the early morning hours on Sunday. The car was parked in the 20000 block of Claythorne Road. The car's license plate reads: #EVC8120. The car was unlocked at the time of the theft.
