Watch Shaker Heights School Walk Out
One of the district's coolest traditions continued for the class of 2018. Check out video of the senior clap out.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — One of the coolest traditions in the Shaker Heights School District is the "clap out." That's when graduating seniors parade through each of the school's buildings and younger students at, say, Mercer, form a wall-to-wall clap tunnel for the graduates to walk through.
Partly the clap out is cool for the visual of it all and partly it's cool because of the continuity of seeing the same young students matriculate into their own cap-and-gown. This year, the district put together a video of the clap out for everyone to see.
