2 Managers Assaulted by Employees in Solon

SOLON, OH - Two managers of different businesses in Solon were assaulted by their employees last week. The first incident occurred at an Arby's and the other at All American Moving and Storage.

On Jan. 30, the manager at the Arby's at 6375 SOM Center Rd., called police and said she had been assaulted by one of their employees. The 22-year-old manager said she asked the employee to clock out because of a lack of business. Police say the employee reacted by cussing at the manager and then throwing his headset. The manager was on the store phone, held it away, and quietly asked the employee to leave because he was being disrespectful. The employee responded by grabbing the phone and throwing it on the counter.

The manager then tried to call the general manager on her cell phone and the employee pushed the manager to the ground, grabbed the cell phone, and threw it through a glass display case, shattering the case.

Alonzo Robinson, 18 of Bedford, has been arrested for assault.

Two days later, at the Solon Road All American Moving and Storage a 36-year-old manager was assaulted by his employee. This time the assault took place at about 7:30 in the morning. Police were called to the scene and found the manager with injuries to his face and ankle.

The manager said that he and the employee got into an argument over pay issues. The argument escalated and the manager told the employee to leave.

Instead of leaving, the employee began attacking the manager. The employee hit him numerous times before another employee broke up the brawl. Assault charges are pending for the 23 year old suspect.
