2010 Census: Solon Grew, Became More Diverse Over Last Decade

The city's population increased to 23,348 people and became more diverse as minority populations grew and the number of white residents shrunk

Over the last decade Solon grew in population while Cuyahoga County shed residents, according to the 2010 Census.

But more interesting is that Solon is becoming a more diverse community, with the number of white residents shrinking and the number of minority residents – particularly Asians and blacks – growing.

According to the data, the overall population of Solon grew from 21,802 in 2000 to 23,348 in 2010, an increase of 7 percent.
