23-Year-Old Overdoses In Solon
Emergency services were forced to revive the man and rush him to a hospital.

SOLON, OH — For the second time in about a month, emergency services in Solon were forced to revive a person that was overdosing. This time, a 23-year-old was seen unresponsive in an order picker (sort of like a smaller forklift).

Theft, Sept. 28 — Someone stole a 21-year-old's bicycle from a garage at Park East Apartments, 34700 Park East Dr. The lock that had secured the resident's bike had been broken. There have been similar bike thefts in recent weeks.

Robbery, Sept. 27 — Police were called to Great Lakes Cold Storage, 6531 Cochran Rd. A 23-year-old employee at the store said he had been robbed about 10 minutes prior to officers arrival. Someone jumped the man while he was walking outside the business. The suspect kicked and punched the man and took $599 from his wallet. A warrant has been issued for Ricky Walker, 33, of Cleveland, for robbery.
OVI, Sept. 29 — Police arrested Jason Walker, 35, of Cleveland, after stopping him for failing to maintain his lane of travel. Officers smelled alcohol and marijuana when talking with Walker. Field sobriety tests were administered and officers felt Walker was impaired. He was arrested and taken to jail. Walker refused to take any tests. He has been charged with OVI, failure to maintain marked lanes, no seat belt, possession of marijuana and open container.

Drug Overdose, Sept. 30 — Police were called to Interdesign, 30725 Solon Industrial Pkwy., for reports of an unresponsive man. Officers found a 23-year-old man from Garretsville slumped over in his order picker. Solon Fire and Rescue treated the man for an overdose. The man was revived and rushed to a hospital.
OVI, Sept. 30 — Natalie Cooper, 40, of Bainbridge, was arrested after she was seen speeding on US 422. She was recorded going 93 mph in a 60 mph zone. Police could smell alcohol when they approached Cooper. Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired. She was taken to jail where she took a breath test and blew a .151. She was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC and speeding.
Improper Handling of a Firearm, Oct. 2 — Police spotted a car on SR 91 with expired license plates. An officer stopped the car and found the license sticker belonged to another vehicle. While police were preparing to tow the vehicle, driver Latonya Jordan, 49, of Maple Heights, asked if she could remove her weapon. Police then found a loaded 9mm semiautomatic pistol from under the front passenger seat. Jordan was cited for improper handling of a firearm and fictitious plates.
