3 Burglaries In 4 Hours in Solon

Three homes were broken into on Nov. 29. Jewelry was taken from two of the houses.

SOLON, OH — The Solon community was hit by a string of burglaries on Nov. 29. Doors were forced open at homes on SOM Center Road, Harper Road and Shadowbrook Drive. Jewelry and jewelry boxes were reported missing.

The first reported burglary was at about noon on Wednesday. A home alarm was trigger at a SOM Center Road home. Officers responded to alarm and found a side door on the garage had been forced open. Residents told police there was no sign of anything being taken. An investigation is still ongoing.

The second burglary occurred at 12:45 p.m. This time a Harper Road resident said they came home and found that someone had kicked in the front door of their house. Two jewelry boxes were missing. Detectives are also investigating this incident.

Finally, at about 4:40 p.m., a Shadowbrook Drive resident said he came home and found his front door had been kicked in. The resident said he left his house at 8 a.m. and didn't return home until 4:30 p.m., when he found the damage. Some jewelry was stolen. Solon detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incidents.
