3 Drunken Driving Arrests Made In 2 Days In Solon

Police said they arrested drivers on Harper Road and US 422 for drinking and driving.

SOLON, OH — Solon Police made three drunken driving arrests in just two days before September ended. None of the drivers were from Solon, but each took a breath test at Solon Jail and blew above a .1 BAC (blood alcohol content).

OVI, September 22 — A Warren woman was stopped on US 422 east after police saw her car drifting out of its lane, according to records obtained by Patch. The woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, police said. Field sobriety tests were administered and then woman was then arrested and taken to Solon Jail. The woman blew a .131 on a breath test. She has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired, prohibited BAC, and marked lanes.

OVI, September 22 — Police arrested a Cleveland man for letting his car drift left, out of its lane, on Harper Road on September 22. Police pulled the man over on Harper Road at about 11:30 p.m. The man smelled strongly of alcohol, police said. Field sobriety tests indicated the man was impaired, police said, and he was arrested and taken to Solon Jail. The man blew a .198 on a breath test. He is charged with operating a vehicle impaired, prohibited BAC, and left of center.

OVI, September 23 — At 2:25 a.m., police pulled over a car on US 422 for speeding. The car had been recorded driving 75 mph in a 60 mph zone. The car was also seen drifting out of its lane as it headed toward Solon Road. Police said the driver, a Warrensville Heights man, had extremely bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. Field sobriety tests indicated the main was impaired and he was arrested and taken to Solon Jail. He blew a .101 on a breath test. He has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired, prohibited BAC, speeding, non-compliance, and marked lanes.
